After installing a new motherboard for an Athlon processor, there was a problem with Windows.To cut a long story short, Windows98 will load to a certain stage where it finds that the file vmm32.vxd is missing and stops meaning I can't load Windows, not even in Safe mode. I tried reinstalling windows 98 but the existing files are replaced by my system as they were just before win95 was upgraded, which is not very suitable for me as this was ages ago.
How can I find this file and reinstall it without losing my existing configuration? |
