4609 2000-05-02 05:36:00 I am having a problem with my Epson 600 Printer

It only occurs when I am printing to High quality photo paper using the highest resolution setting - which I think is around 740 by 1200

What happens is that part way through printing photo some fine streaks or lines of blue appear at both sides of the picture with some actually printing across the photo

It spoils an otherwise perfect output

I have replaced several printer cartridges (orgional Epson ones only) and checked to see that I have the latest printer driver also

I am running Windows 98 on a HP Pavilion desktop computer

Ca anyone suggest a solution?

Thank you

4611 2002-10-29 03:36:00 I have the same problem from time to time in my home office and we sometimes get the same fault on our work ones, the very fine lines.

It has as far as I know nothing with drivers. It appears to be the print head itself.

The only cure I have is to ditch the print, annoying as it might be, and especially so considering the cost you have to pay for ink and good paper and to do a head clean and nozzle clean, get the black, blue, yellow and red zig zag block lines all joined up and then start again.

Try nozzle and head cleans and then start printing again.

4612 2002-10-29 22:48:00 It sounds like bits of paper fibre/dust etc are being dragged along on the cartridge holder. Clean it the best way you can. You can get cleaning sheets etc or try to do it manually (be quick so the print heads don't dry out). As has been said head cleaning through the driver may also work. Brent P (198)
4613 2002-11-02 21:08:00 I found a site that seems to know of the problem.

I have ordered the cleaning fluid at $13.95usd through a friend as they do not send overseas. Sounds like an answer. Good explanation on the site.
