| 4603 | 2000-05-01 22:28:00 | I have a laptop that has a modem and a network card installed. I need to find a way to silently release the IP address from my network card without restarting. I have Win95 installed and it obtains its network card IP address from a DHCP server. Problems occur when I then disconnect from the network and try to dial my ISP. I have problems because the default gateway is still assigned to the network card. I currently use WINIPCFG to resolve this but I want to automate the process. Does anyone know a way of making WINIPCFG release IP's silently? I don't want the WINIPCFG window to come up at all. I have tried command line switchs after WINIPCFG but these still open the window. Any suggestions greatfully recieved. |
