4664	2000-05-06 13:06:00	Hi I have been having problems with running games on my PC. I use 800 x 600 32 bit resolution and when starting games it generally changes the resolution to 1024 x 768. When I exit the game, I have to go through the change resolution / re-start procedure a few times to get it back to 800 x 600. On other games I get the message 'could not find directx' etc. I have installed the lastest version, and if I try to re-install it from the cd rom, it tells me there is already a newer version there. I ran the directx troubleshooter, which did not find any problems, I have checked for an updated driver for my monitor, and set the graphic acceleration to 'nil' and 'basic', all with no effect. The latest game to give me this headache is 'The Sims'. (The cd rom is looking more and more like a drink coaster to me now). Computer: HP 4410, Windows 98 Any help would be appreciated, thanks	Guest (0)
