4641 2000-05-04 22:47:00 Hi,

I recently stumbled on a rather nasty problem after reformating my HD.

The problem was that I could not install Adobe Acrobat Reader ver 4.0 AFTER installing Microsoft Office 2000 Premium. Apparently, it just hang half way during the installation.

I managed to solve the problem by installing Adobe Acrobat Reader first, followed by MS Office 2000. It worked after that.

Hope this will be a great tip to users out there who intend to use both Adobe Acrobat Reader and Office 2000. I'm not too sure about the other versions or releases of either softwares.

PS, my system specs are:

*Pentium II 350 (didn't overclock)
*256 MB PC-100 SDRAM
*4.3 and 8.6 Seagate Medalist HDs at Ultra DMA 33
*Asus GeForce256 Pure with 32MB SDRAM (latest drivers)
*Diamond Monster Sound MX300
*USR 56k Faxmodem Internal
*KTX Network Card (based on the Realtek RTL8029(AS) chipset)
*Win98 SE

I really wouldn't suspect the drivers of my devices to cause the problem.
