4670 2000-05-07 05:22:00 When CD Player is used to play music from a CD, after pressing the play button, a loud motorboating sound is generated. It can be stopped by pressing the stop button.

This is the first time that CD Player has been used on this computer, yet it played music from one CD without problem.

This follows the installation of a iomega zip100 (parallel) drive, installed and used before CD Player was opened.

At the time of playing the CD, I was downloading the latest virus definitions from Symantec. The def's installed without problem.

I added one play list to CD Player, then tried loading a new CD, which is when the problem occurred. At that time I think I heard the zip drive make a noise of some description.

I have removed and reloaded CD Player and removed the zip drive from 'System Properties'.

The Computer is a 'Green PC Co.' PC with a Celeron 400MHz CPU running Win98 SE. The sound 'card' is 'SoundMAX Intergrated Digital Audio' MPU-401 Compatible.

Many thanks, Geoff.
