4695 2000-05-09 12:29:00 Hi, my system can't play the .AVI intro video from games like Age of Empires 2 and Civilization 2. In Civ 2, it said that I may have a possible video setup problem and suggest me to install video for windows. In AOE2, it said that I have a MCI error: MMSYSTEM296 The file can't play on the specified MCI device, the file may be corrupt or not in correct format. However, the .AVI files played OK in Windows Media Player, it just won't play when the games startup. I think installing Video for Windows may help, but isn't it just for 16-bit system like Windows 3.1? I just not sure whether it's OK to install that on my Windows 98 system. Any suggestions?(System info: Windows 98 1st edn., Pentium III 450 MHz)

Thanks, S Ling
