My computer currently has two 32MB EDO modules plugged into the motherboard. Daily I experience a few 'Invalid page faults', or the occasional GPF, neither of these being associated with any particular program, it would seem. If the second 32MB module is removed from the motherboard, the computer operates with no IPFs or GPFs. The modules have been interchanged, so neither of them is faulty, and in any case, when they are both plugged in, the total 64MB of memory tests ok on the battery of tests using Tufftest Pro. Could anyone explain what might be causing the problem please.
The motherboard is an Abit PH5 Pentium system, the OS W98. |
