| 1264250 | 2012-03-11 02:58:00 | Hi Press F1, I am currently trying to connect two modem/routers together to form one big LAN in my house. What I'm trying to do: Thomson Tg585v7 --> Computer --> Computer --> Ethernet cable to Dlink 604t Dlink 604T: --> Ethernet Cable to tg585 --> computer --> TV The Thomson modem is currently used to connect to the internet. I read online that I should make the Dlink 60T a switch? How would I go about trying to achieve what I'm trying to do here? Thanks in Advance! |

| 1264251 | 2012-03-11 03:11:00 | Probably better using one if both are modem/routers. And buying a switch | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||
| 1264252 | 2012-03-11 04:07:00 | All you have to do is turn off DHCP on the Dlink & it can be used as a switch | Greven (91) | ||
| 1264253 | 2012-03-11 05:01:00 | As per Grevens post, and plug the cable from the Thomson Tg585v7 into one of the 4 ports of the D-Link. Or as Speedy suggested, buy a switch, they are cheap enough, you can pick up a 8 port switch for around $30 give or take. | wainuitech (129) | ||
