1264250 2012-03-11 02:58:00 Hi Press F1,

I am currently trying to connect two modem/routers together to form one big LAN in my house.

What I'm trying to do:

Thomson Tg585v7

--> Computer
--> Computer
--> Ethernet cable to Dlink 604t

Dlink 604T:

--> Ethernet Cable to tg585
--> computer
--> TV

The Thomson modem is currently used to connect to the internet.

I read online that I should make the Dlink 60T a switch?

How would I go about trying to achieve what I'm trying to do here?

Thanks in Advance!

1264251 2012-03-11 03:11:00 Probably better using one if both are modem/routers. And buying a switch Speedy Gonzales (78)
1264252 2012-03-11 04:07:00 All you have to do is turn off DHCP on the Dlink & it can be used as a switch Greven (91)
1264253 2012-03-11 05:01:00 As per Grevens post, and plug the cable from the Thomson Tg585v7 into one of the 4 ports of the D-Link. Or as Speedy suggested, buy a switch, they are cheap enough, you can pick up a 8 port switch for around $30 give or take. wainuitech (129)
