1239646 2011-10-25 05:31:00 Got a friend just moved house into a place with gas water heating.

She's never had it before and its not working, any ideas to what might be wrong?

Apparently there three valves, lol that is all that she knows.

1239649 2011-10-25 05:45:00 Those three pipes are the Gas, Cold Water In, Hot Water Out.

Just check to see if the electrical outlet for the gas heater is switched on (Plug something in there to test it)
Turn on a hot water tap nearest to the heater.

1239652 2011-10-25 09:19:00 Could be that the indoor control unit (just an on/off switch and temp selector) is off. Could be out of gas. Previous tenants might've turned off the outdoor power socket switch that powers the heater, or the circuit breaker. Bottles could've had their valves closed. One bottle could be empty and the bottle-switcher hasn't clicked over to the other one.

Is she renting? If none of the above work, give the landlord a ring, it might just be a funny/odd system.
