| 1239346 | 2011-10-23 19:59:00 | I certainly prefer a female voice to a male voice. Males have deep voices while females have sharper voices that are easier to understand. Female radio operators were easier to understand as their sharp voices would pierce through the static and other atmospheric noises associated with radio. I selected a female voice for my GPS as it is easier to understand over traffic and engine noise. I originally had Corel Draw 4 which had video tutorial featuring a lovely young lady. I used to enjoy watching the tutorial. I now have Corel Draw X5 which also has a video tutorial which is given by a man. I find the Corel Draw X5 tutorial less interesting to watch. |

Funny you should say that because studies have shown that, in general, people prefer radio journalists to be men because of their deep (and therefore authoritative-sounding) voices. You notice a lot that the female voices on radio are deeper than the average woman's. |
