| 1239693 | 2011-10-27 17:29:00 | 2TB drive for $99 dollars -- Doubt it - think you are missing a number, try $299 is more closer to it. pricespy.co.nz Western Digital Caviar Green WD20EARS 64MB 2TB $114.75 |

| 1239695 | 2011-10-27 19:08:00 | I think pctek's point is that at the time Goodiesguy would have seen them priced at around $100. But you are also correct in the fact that because of the flooding there won't be many left and they will be sold now at a higher price. | icow (15313) | ||
| 1239696 | 2011-10-27 22:09:00 | Yes, i did see one of them advertised at $99, but the prices seemed to have gone up. | goodiesguy (15316) | ||
| 1239697 | 2011-10-27 22:10:00 | Well now you know why the prices went up. | Snorkbox (15764) | ||

One way to check, a nifty bit of software I came across the other day, no fiddling about -- CrystalDiskInfo (crystalmark.info) -- run it on the drive, and it will tell you exactly how much time the drive has actually been used -- see attachment, its a little hard to see, but this drive on this PC I'm currently on has had 3416 hours of actual run time. |

Or not. ex·clo·sure (k-sklzhr) n. 1. An area of land enclosed by a barrier, such as a fence, to protect vegetation and prevent grazing by animals. 2. The practice of fencing off an area to protect vegetation. I think Seagate might claim their warranty invalid. :D |
