1239978 2011-10-26 08:24:00 I don't think we need any more mods. I think we're lucky to have the ones that we do, having to (occasionally) put up with some serious crap, as well as some members whining because "holy crap a spam thread is taking up a few pixels on my screen so I should click on it and then post in it bitching about why hasn't it been removed yet", et cetera. ubergeek85 (131)
1239979 2011-10-26 09:39:00 . . . . more like Chardonnay and pizza . . . .
Well, if there's pizza, maybe - yeah . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . (c) beetle

1239980 2011-10-28 08:20:00 I reckon the best characteristic of the mods here (or anywhere) is restraint.

If they're too keen to wade in they'll upset people.

Jen does a great job of sleuthing the spammers.

Wots-his-face (sorry mate, I'm too tired) (Chill !) shows wonderful cool and is laid back (sorry to both if I can't recognise the good works you do here, but that invisibility may be a sign of a job well done).

To add another mod won't improve the blend, it'll worsen it by allowing another persons errors in judgement to taint things.

I'd suggest only sourcing others if the existing mods feel the need for it.

No offence to Speedy, or any other nominees. They'd probably all be great, but the existing crew does well as they are.
PF1 has the best forums I've found, and that has sod-all to do with the code they're running.

1239981 2011-10-28 08:31:00 Ask rather "Do the mods need a new PF!?"

Oh - Hang on - two of them have already had new PF1 versions a fair few times now, even the newbies have just had a platform switch.

1239982 2011-10-28 19:37:00 Thanks for the nice compliments guys. :)

Personally, I don't think we need another Mod - we have four right now. Although Siobhan and Zara are not that 'visible' on the forum, they do spend a bit of time knocking off the spam during 'office' hours - and Zara has been known to scrub the forum clean of spam in the wee hours of the morning.

1239983 2011-10-28 19:53:00 Ive got better things to do than looking after a forum anyway. Like play on the Xbox :p And playing Forza 4 (once, I get it that is). We're still unpacking all the junk (after we moved house). That'll probably take forever Speedy Gonzales (78)
