1239673 2011-10-26 03:56:00 I just had a mental as victory dance. As my mum was walking out the back, there was a box sitting on the back step addressed to me!

woo hoo, it's arrived, am about to open it.

1239675 2011-10-26 06:59:00 Just trying to get it to boot up from my hard drives. will have to hook up a dvd drive, and do a startup repair, then once i've got it up and running with the drivers, will disconnect my dvd drive and hookup my second harddrive. then around xmas time, i'll get a 1 or 2TB sata drive so i can use both of my dvd drives. goodiesguy (15316)

It's still not letting my boot off my hard drive. straight after "starting windows" it does a loop back to the splash screen. Any clues anyone? as ther'es nothing wrong with my installation or my drives, as they booted fine on my old mobo.

1239679 2011-10-26 08:35:00 I cant remember your old one. Is it just the mobo or a cpu as well?

Either way you probably should just do a fresh install of windows. Esp. if it's a different brand of mobo.

1239680 2011-10-26 08:52:00 MOBO, CPU, Ram and Video card.

My old specs were something like: amd athlon 64, geforce 6600, 1.5 gb ddr400.

I really dont want to reinstall windows, as in a few months i'm getting myself a sata drive, so i just want to get my old drives booting and up and running for now untill i get a sata drive.
