The will of the people is a huge force. And if you achieve greatness in their eyes then its as deserving as any other achievement. No need to get your panties in a twist, A slightly more mature person would just acknowledge the huge effort that went into this and be satisfied that its a win for us as a nation, even if they prefer another code. |

Thats true, But the no fault system gives us a huge freedom to follow our paths in life without being consumed by legislation and laying of blame. Mate, whoever you are, if you get hurt, and you need help, then I'm happy if my contribution helps, But as they butcher the system more and more that good will may evaporate. well, not from me, I'm happy to contribute, the system is a good one in principle if slightly bloated and weighed down by bureaucratic management and leeching medical practitioners, but it annoys me when people with the same cover and circumstances want to make the situation worse for others. |

You're missing the point. Sir Edmund Hillary was knighted for climbing a mountain. Why should the captain of a team who won a few rugby games be knighted? What did he do that the rest of the team didn't? How does winning a 80 minute rugby game (as part of a team) be as deserving as climbing a 29000ft mountain? Cool, they won the World Cup. Awesome, high fives all round. If Richie gets knighted then this country is ****ed. |

It takes more then the effort of one man to accomplish any great task. You do realise David Kirk was honored right?, And Im lead to believe 4 other All Blacks have received official recognition for the efforts in the past. |

That is 162 more earning over $100,000 than in the 2007 annual report. Sounds like quite a lot of bloat to me. |
