1263328 2012-03-07 02:46:00 Hi Speedy, unistalling Omnipage Pro 9 has solved the r/h click for menu, copy, delete, etc.

That's interesting tho, only used the scanner to save a pic of the 22 Feb 2011 quake early last week.

Always thought the quake hit us on the back l/h corner of the house and the picture verifies it.

Will re-install OmniPro at some stage.

Speedy, thanks a million as always.

1263329 2012-03-07 02:47:00 No probs. I have a feeling Omnipage isnt fully compatible with XP. According to the MS site I posted. Since you have to uninstall it and delete those 2 files as well. You may have to install something else, or see if there's an update for V9

If there's no update for it, then it'll crash explorer.exe if you install it again. Any paint program (like Irfanview I think) can scan pics. Omnipage is an OCR program isnt it? And scans text?? Which you dont need to scan pics

1263330 2012-03-07 08:16:00 The scanner has been on this pc for about 15 months and used for copying/saving pics over that time without any hiccups.

What I think may have caused it now, was a joke email sent over by a good friend Monday and if it was sent to a number of friends then a video would pop-up, which of course it never does with jokes like that.

The subject : Send it back to me, please, it's funny [SEC=UNOFFICIAL]

Attach: video that was supposed to display with this email.

Speedy, I finally managed to get it away from it's previous long title.

Ps. you may have seen the email Subject : Send it back to me, please, it's funny [SEC=UNOFFICIAL]

1263331 2012-03-07 18:26:00 Nope never heard of that email. I dont think that crashed Omnipage / or that scsiport.sys. Unless it was infected with something Speedy Gonzales (78)
1263332 2012-03-08 01:31:00 Speedy, it must have been something else, bearing in mind most of the friends I sent it onto have had no problems, mind you most would have W7.

On saying that, a lady friend queried the video not coming up on her pc, when talking to her at a Church gathering this morning.

Will try the scanner on the last scan again and see if the problem comes back, no OmniPage installed so it may not even scan properly.
