| 1263333 | 2012-03-06 04:21:00 | Made a thread the other day with a HJT log as my laptop has been running slow and have had 3 crashes with BSOD now. This was the thread and the log (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz). Speedy looked at it and I fixed the couple of things he mentioned. Anyway, today I had another BSOD and I got the error message at the top written down this time (laptop crashes, BSOD comes up quickly then reboots). It said PFN_List_Corrupt. At the bottom it had a bunch of error numbers, but I think (I hope) I got the main error message. Any idea what this means and how I can sort it out? Wins 7 Home, Asus Laptop. Thanks. |

| 1263334 | 2012-03-06 04:27:00 | Test the ram with memtest. Looks like some sites (some people) also fixed this crash, by updating the BIOS | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||

| 1263336 | 2012-03-06 04:36:00 | Or type in memory under search / select the windows memory diag program, let it reboot. If that finds nothing get the memtest iso or the files for a usb flash drive, then boot from it (www.memtest.org). Then let it test the memory | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||
| 1263337 | 2012-03-06 04:39:00 | You may have so me corrupted drivers someplace, ( Could be Graphic) have a look at the logs and see if they tell you whats actually crashed. Click start , type in reli Open view Reliability history, when it opens look at the errors shown, see if any point to an program or driver. |

For the memtest iso do I need to burn that to a CD to run it? I have it mounted with poweriso but can't figure out how to run it. Can't see any error messages pointing to programmes or drivers. Even on the days it did crash, all it says is Windows was shut down unexpectedly or something along those lines. |

| 1263339 | 2012-03-06 05:19:00 | You need to burn the ISO with ISO software to create a bootable CD or USB drive. If windows memtest found nothing you could be wasting your time with memtest -- by the sounds of it, theres something writing to memory incorrectly thats causing the problem. You can try Blue Screen view (www.nirsoft.net) and see what it shows, it may point to the actual problem if its driver related. Run it, and post back its report. Out of interest, can you make it BSOD, by doing a certain action ? Some reading of the causes, and things to try msdn.microsoft (msdn.microsoft.com(v=vs.85).aspx) Edited: There is one way to check for driver problems, BUT I'm a little hesitant to actually suggest it, as it has been known to make matters worse and create an endless reboot. Lets see what else develops first eh, in the way of solutions ! ;) |

| 1263340 | 2012-03-06 05:27:00 | Kaspersky maybe causing it. Read post 5 (forum.kaspersky.com). Same BSOD. I would uninstall it then use its removal tool (support.kaspersky.com) | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||

It just seems to happen when surfing the net and things slow down. @ Speedy, can try doing that and reverting back to 2011, unless what I just posted shows it's not Kaspersky? |

| 1263342 | 2012-03-06 06:00:00 | tdx.sys has something to do with a network driver i think? I would still remove Kaspersky completely. And use something else. Just install an AV program. Win7's firewall is good enough | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||
