1263356 2012-03-06 04:11:00 My computers has a M2N-MX SE motherboard with an Nvidia Geforce 6100 GPU in built graphics card. The video playback with HD stuff is sort of jerky. I'm thinking of replacing it with either an Asus Geforce 210 or GT 520 video card is this the right thing to do or does it just need something updated? You'll notice I'm looking at cheap cards, this is purely as I cant justify a high end card to the boss. Your opinions welcomed (but not about the boss) :) Clod (7853)
1263357 2012-03-06 04:15:00 The geforce 520 is the better card. icow (15313)
1263358 2012-03-06 05:18:00 What's the CPU? but yeah probably a video card will fix it, the 6100 is a little weak to accelerate the decoding but it's likely still trying rather than leave it to the CPU. Another option would be to see if the Video acceleration can be disabled to force the CPU to do it.
Or try another player, VLC plays things smoother than media player Quite often.
