| 5022 | 2000-06-09 04:25:00 | Dear All A friend and I are trying to develop a simple multi-choice q&a MS Access database for pilot training. We want to have the database display the question with 4 possible answers. One of these must obviously be the correct answer, with 3 (incorrect) alternatives in an 'ABCD' type format. The problem is that the correct answer must not appear in the same position every time the database is run so that students don't just learn to select A every time they use the database. Can anyone help us to randomise the way records are displayed? Our current thoughts revolve around using random numbers to generate a changing index number, but Access doesn't seem to have a random number generator. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance Callum |
