| 5103 | 2000-06-14 08:27:00 | I've used Scandisk on Win95 for years and wonder if there is a simple way of stopping Scandisk from giving the following complaint for each folder it encounters with a long path: ============= 'ScanDisk Found an Error on Main (C:) The 'C:\WINDOWS\PROFILES\WILMOT000\APPLIC~1\IDENTI~1\{ DA6CD~1\MICROS~1\OUTLOO~1' folder cannot be opened in MS-DOS mode because its MS-DOS name, including the names of any folders it is in, is longer than 66 characters.' Options are offered to ignore and continue, repair the 'error' by moving the folder, or Delete the affected folder! And this happens 53 times, once for each long folder name, each time Drive C is scanned. ================ |
