5097 2000-06-14 01:13:00 Do I need to purchase additional microsoft licences (for my wife & daughter) to run Office 2000 from any other desktop user profile other than my own.
I have a new home PC running Win98SE and Office 2000 SBE (Both OEM vers).
Querying Microsoft confirms Office 2000 is registered to me, however I was admonished about licence agreements and OEM software. I was told to get back to my OEM for OEM software install problems.
My OEM Dealer suggested I re-run Office install but choose 'Custom' instead of 'Typical'. Did that (installed everything), however still couldn't launch Word, Excel, Publisher etc. from any other user profile.
After a further week of silence from my OEM dealer, e-mailed their service desk, and their reply was that this was most likely a Microsoft 'single user' licence issue associated with the Office 2000 software. They said I needed to go back to Microsoft.
As neither my OEM or Microsoft seem keen on dealing with me, I hope someone here can provide the answer.
