| 5089 | 2000-06-13 08:53:00 | I have an icon on my desktop that I can't get rid of. I started to install the Coolnet connection program,but when it started to install IE5 and Acrobat reader I cancelled the instillation. However when it closed down it did not remove what it had already installed. I removed all it's files by useing FIND Date and time. That got rid of everything except the Coolnet icon. It removed the name under it but not the icon. It will not delete and I can't drag it to recycle bin. I have searched the registry for every instance of desktop,but found nothing. I tried opening word 2000 and chose file /open/c:\windows/desktop/*.*. this showed my desktop icons, but not the rogue one. I am useing win98SE. Anyone got any ideas? Jack |
