5158	2000-06-18 22:08:00	Hi. We play AVI movie clips on the PC & would like to see them on TV. Also planning to upgrade to a DVD drive. I splashed out on a Hollywood Plus/DVDmagic Pro decoder card hoping this would provide the TV Out funtionality. While it works fine for MPEG files, it only seems to be designed to work with the bundled DVD Station application. Can the card be used to direct output from the PC to the TV by applications other than the bundled DVD Station application? ie, from Windows Media Player etc? Anothe tack could be if the DVD Station app. could play AVI files. Currently it only wants to load MPEG, DVD & VideoCD files. Is this possible? I have Windows 2000 and an Nvidea Vanta graphics card & am about to buy a DVD drive. Alternatively would it be better to return the Hollywood card & buy another card for TV out & use a software decoder for the DVD? Thanks.	Guest (0)
