| 5187 | 2000-06-21 04:24:00 | 2 months ago I bought a new copmputer (Working with an old 486) - the new one is a Celeron 500 64M RAM, 8G HDD, 50xCD and have been pleased with it. I have loaded a number of programs on it but in the process I think I have 'stuffed' up the origional settings etc. My previous postings on this sight have indicated problems with being able to record and also playback (sometimes) sound from various scources. I still have this problem and the computer shop (Millenium) have told me after I took the machine into them, that it would cost for them to sort it all out. I was thinking - can I, or should I, just reinstall Windows 98 from the CD that came with the package? If the answer is yes, how exactly do I do that? My thinkin is if I get everything 'back to square one' I won't stuff it up this time. Any suggestions anyone - thanks. PS: Not too technical pse - I can install programs , but I only follow the instuctions and 'click' yes whe it tells me! |
