| 5173 | 2000-06-19 10:13:00 | Twice in the last week my hard drive has suffered a major unexplained crash with huge numbers of files cross linked, chains lost etc etc. The first time occured after a blue screen during defragmenting by Norton Speed disk (I have System Works 2.0). On accessing the hard drive from the Rescue Disks, I found the HDD completely messed up. I reformatted the HDD and reinstalled everything from scratch, only to have the same sort of crash again today. Does this sound like a hardware prob? or perhaps a virus? (I keep NAV up to date, but may have got a suspect email video recently) Any advice gratefully received. |
