| 5215 | 2000-06-24 08:04:00 | Soon after I purchased my present computer - KTX 6x86mx, in October 1998, the clock seemed to go crazy for about 12 days. After being shut down for periods of 10 to 24 hours, I would find the clock had lost anything from 18 mins to as much as 9hrs:58mins, although at times it was spot on. It apparently settled down, and apart fom a few days last year, it maintained the time accurately. Last month however, the losses began again, and I now have to reset the time almost every time I boot the computer I am not too bothered by the chore, but is this phenomenon a warning that something serious is happering or about to happen behind the scene? |
