5266 2000-06-28 06:51:00 Norton Ghost 5.1 is proving a difficult cuss to handle.

Loaded up under Windows 98 SE2 it sees all the drives.
But of course it cant be used under windows to backup a drive with the OS on it.

But under DOS it cant see the partitions C, D, E

We then for another reason put in a second hard drive.

At this point Norton Help told us to create a Ghost boot disc which further complicated the matter by calling the D Slave Drive the C drive.

I checked and found that indeed the supposed C was the D by doing a 'dir'.

Further requests for help had the Australian help desk faxing us pages of the manual that we already have.

Simply it will not work from the graphic interface it offers when booted under DOS, as it does not see partitions, and it wont work from a boot disc it creates.

For $199 it so far has wasted two days with very long waits on the help line.
