Hello,.......I've lost my COM 1. My IE/OE is on COM2 and is OK. Have hitherto used COM1 for an Amateur Radio pgm. but now it's suddenly disappeared and doesn't show up in Device Manager where, under Ports, only LPT1 appears. COM2 shows up under Modem. Have tried Configure Safe but no real help, likewise Conflict Troubleshooter. Find doesn?t find. My PC is Gateway Pent. 2 running Win98 and has only 2 COM ports. Want to have two more anyway so also looking for good source of info on this subject. Any COM port experts around ? Appreciate help especially to dbest@is.com.fj |
