hi,when connected to the internet my computer will all of a sudden restart,there is no set pattern ,it could be after 10min or it could be after 3hours.When it restarts it goes to scandisk & then it attempts to boot to windows but hangs on the win98 cloud pic & i have to turn it off & restart manualy.The interesting part is that while it is hanging our phone doesnt get a dial tone,It seems that even though it has restarted the modem is still connected to the phone line.when i manualy restart it seems to let go & the phone gets a dial tone again.this problem has occured approx 7 times in the last 11days.System is as follows HP Pavilion 6306,amd k6-2 300mhz,LT WIN modem,win98.This particular computer has been in the repair shop on five different occasions in it's short 19 mnths life,the last about 1month ago to get the bios reset to english (it was in spanish)
