| 5450 | 2000-07-12 07:40:00 | I copied internet explorer 5.1 from the June CD over my version of IE5.0 and now every time I start the computer I get a dialog box that says I have a registry problem and need to restore from a backup. I don't have a backup, so this is not an option. If I try to open the program, a box says 'this is not a 32bit program' and will not open. I have tried to re-install from the CD but it says I have the latest version on my computer and will not work. I tried to uninstall and go back to the previous version but that did not work either. Can anyone tell me what to do and please don't tell me I am an idiot for not backing up the registry before I started, I already know that. Thank you, Allan. |
