| 5471 | 2000-07-14 05:45:00 | I would like to know if voice recognition software is good enough for me to be able to throw away my computers keyboard? And would it be feasible to no longer employ a word processing employee? There seem to be two software products, IBM's ViaVoice and Dragon Naturally speaking. Dragon come in a varity of flavours, ie standard, preferred, mobile etc. One company tells me it can sell me a digital dictaphone for About $700 which i can speak into, it will record onto a 'Flash Card' which i can transfer to a PC and it will convert to typed text. Is this an accurate claim. Also would it be possible for me to record a sound file over the phone, then it could be convert to text and faxed / emailed?? |
