My machine is running Win98. I installed an old hard drive in a removable carrier, to use for backup. I got over the problem of naming through your column, thanks to Brent P. I still have the problem that when I boot my machine with the removable disk out I get a message for the primary hdd then a long delay followed by a message 'Pri Slave HDD Error Press F1 to Resume. After F1 the boot up is normal. There also seems to be excessive delay at shut down. Is there anything that canbe done? |
