1264596 2012-03-13 03:15:00 I am having a problem printing out e-mails from Outlook Express. My HP Photosmart 8230 will print out only the header of the e-mail, and that's it! Everything else is left blank. If I go back to an old e-mail it prints OK, so I guess the problem lies in Outlook Express rather than the printer. Any ideas?? Richard (739)
1264597 2012-03-13 03:34:00 I don't have a good solution, but a crude workaround that usually works is cutting and pasting into wordpad to print.
I get occasional E-mails that won't print properly with outlook 2003 and that's what I do.

1264598 2012-03-13 03:42:00 Yes, that worked dugimodo, but I would still like to fix the underlying problem. Thanks though. Richard (739)
1264599 2012-03-13 03:43:00 See if this is selected (fleamour.wordpress.com)

Tools ==> Options ==> Connection ==> Internet Connection Settings ==> Change ==> Advanced ==> Printing ==> Check “Print background colours and images” box.

1264600 2012-03-13 04:03:00 No Speedy, that didn't work. Restored all defaults while I was there, but made no difference. Tricky one! Richard (739)
1264601 2012-03-13 04:23:00 What version of IE is installed?? Some sites say IE7 has something to do with the way OE prints Speedy Gonzales (78)
1264602 2012-03-13 04:29:00 IE8 is installed, but I don't use it, being a Firefox man! But the funny bit is that printing from OE has up until now worked fine. Richard (739)
1264603 2012-03-13 04:29:00 Try this, may or may not make any difference -- open a run command, type in regsvr32 ole32.dll Press enter, then regsvr32 inetcomm.dll.

The problem may actually be Internet Explorer, not Outlook express since IE controls outlook Express.

1264604 2012-03-13 06:13:00 Another fix would be to install win 7 and I/E 9. Cicero (40)
1264605 2012-03-13 07:51:00 Thank you Cicero. I knew an old head would have an expensive solution. Bah! Richard (739)
