2011-11-02 18:37:00 | This is for people who have FlyBuys. Recieved an email from FlyBuys that if I changed my power company to Contact they would give me 500 bonus points and if I had gas with them that they would give me 650 points if I changed both to them. :)

2011-11-02 20:11:00 | Meantime my discount has gone up to 22% so all is well here. Same here (corrected), and $80 off my third bill (I've just signed up). :D Having just moved my phone to Orcon as well, combined I'm saving myself $65.00 a month. Worth having!

2011-11-02 21:00:00 | I am happy with my 22% discount. I believe that some people, who are not online, are unhappy about not being able to get the full 22% discount. I had an email offering me triple fly buys between 1 Oct - 31 Dec 11.

2011-11-02 23:32:00 | A few months back we moved from Empower to genesis after doing the power saving chart / cost for best supplier. We have made an average saving of $200- $230 per month. :banana (I even rang to double check each time we got an invoice as it didn't seem right, they double checked and said -- Yep its correct) Screw any flybuys the savings made by switching to a different company is far better.

A few months back we moved from Empower to genesis after doing the power saving chart / cost for best supplier . We have made an average saving of $200- $230 per month . :banana (I even rang to double check each time we got an invoice as it didn't seem right, they double checked and said -- Yep its correct) Does anyone have the link to the "power saving chart"? Thanks . BTW, that is a HUGE saving per month!! |

2011-11-03 01:13:00 | You need to fill in the questioner - Click on the Get Started button www.powerswitch.org.nz As I mentioned we were with Empower, we did that questioner, and it said going by our figures we entered changing to Genesis would save us approx $1600 / Year  Genesis had a look at our usage over the last year, and said if we went on the even pay plan we would be paying $150 / month. I called and confirmed the quoted price, they re-did it, and said yes its correct - So we changed, and thats all we have paid ever since. The way it works is Over the winter months you will use more power than the summer months, so over the year a some stage you will go in credit or debt, but they don't take any more out than the agreed amount / month, so over a year it evens out. IF at the end of the year they find its not quite right then you change the amounts, and as the guy told me the other day, "if " that happens its only Usually less than $10 / month, unless the customer had made some changes from when they inspected the last years usage. I actually did some maths using Empowers reading/cost compared to Genesis cost on the same reading/usage - Genesis was quite noticeably cheaper. Edited: Just as a comparison I have just redone the figures But using the current reading, but entered Empower as the supplier instead of Genesis -- look at the saving :D
