| 1241072 | 2011-10-31 10:47:00 | We started growing broccoli in autumn. Getting back in it now with the warmer weather. My question. When you buy a packet of seeds, chives and chilli for example are very small seeds. So do you just use one seed or do you sprinkle a few in the same area? Also have any of you sow the seed directly outside instead of indoors first? :thanks: |

If you are growing bigger plants from seed like beans or peas you make a furrow in the ground and plant one at a time about 100mm apart. Instructions are on the packets. From now on you can plant directly outside. :) |

All the time, I never start anything indoors. But it depends where you live. |

These are large enough to handle individually, just poke a small hole in the ground with your finger and drop one in about 40 to 50 mm apart. I sow about 20 seeds every two weeks. Have rads. for all tyhe summer. |
