Movers coming on Nov 15-17th and we will leave a day later after they go out our driveway . The furniture will be coming behind us by about 4-5 days, so we'll get there first and get ready for the delivery . The reason for the mover's delay is that they cannot get the semi-truck and trailer into this property and they can only get two smaller delivery vans in and then they have to unload them and reload the whole household when they get to their depot in Reseda, CA . No extra charge for that load-unload-reload, thankfully - but it slows things down a couple of days . I hope the ice cream in the freezer doesn't melt by then . We're going about 1300 miles North, and it being Winter here (read: cold-snowy) it might be a hard drive - but I've done it in one day before . Yuck - it's totally exhausting even though it was Summer and the roads were clear and lots of daylight . |

OK - so --- two years ago we moved from San Jacinto/Hemet to here where the air was cleaner, but now that there's smog making it's debut here, I move onward and to a better air quality index. This may be the last move before I die - so I gotta make it good. |

I like to wick the moisture (sweat) away, not have it pool up in my boots after running down my legs and nethers. Every read Jack London's 'To Build A Fire'? Stay dry. |

| 1240665 | 2011-10-29 02:50:00 | To which part of Montana are you moving? :) Going to the 'Montana Banana Belt' in the Bitterroot Valley into a city called Hamilton. Same altitude as here - just a tad colder in winter. Same footage overall for snow accumulation too - about four of 'The King's Feet' really. Roads are very level and not twisty at all like here where I have one leg shorter than the other and the tires all wear out on the passenger's side of the cars. |
