About an hour from now my new phone should be up and running, a process which started at 7pm last night and with 4 different customer service people so far whose default fix is to suggest taking battery and sim card out, wait 15 sec and replace. Just prior to my getting the point of throwing the phone out the window I went back in my mind over the original call to Telecom and remembered giving a long barcode number from the card with the sim attached. I suggested they check if it had been inputted correctly. It hadn't! two numbers had been missed. Just a lucky guess on my part, haven't had any experience with Sim cards. Anyway, I have a couple of settings which I don't understand and can't face ringing Telecom again so could someone help please. They are Text message sending options - Circuit Switch or Packet Switch and the other is to do with Text Message Centre with options being TNZ SMSC1 or Text Message Centre 2. Thanks |

Get the manual for it (store.telecom.co.nz) |

Ouch Speedy, of course I've read the tiny 10x6cm manual that came with the phone, needed a magnifying glass mind. The online version might be more readable so I'll give it a try. |

If those options are for txting, and it works with the default settings, I wouldn't worry about changing them |
