| 1264668 | 2012-03-16 05:49:00 | Have ordered the Corsair TXM650 from Computer Lounge for $169. Ascents price on a TXM550 is $189. Ascents price on a TXM650 is $214-95 and are out of stock until April 20th. The only drawback with me ordering from Computer Lounge and paying by credit card as a new customer is I have to go through a security check to verify it is me buying this. When there statement appears on my credit card account they put a security number with it. I have to email them back this security number before they will send me the power supply. :) Ive had to do the credit check and then after finally gettin that done they told me it was out of stock with something like a month lead time. It was definitely in stock when I ordered. I have attempted at least half dozen purchases of them of top end items in the past and always had problems with stock so gave up them, ascent will do me fine, the few extra bucks is worth it. Must be a new thing from them, I've used credit card and bank transfer in the past, never had any security checks. Best company I've ever dealt with. I had it about 3 years ago so can't be that new :-p |

Tried another known working video card in the computer and that wouldn't go either. Have determined one or the other that either when my 8800GTS failed it also took out the PCIe slot or the PCIe slot has failed. This mb is a refurbished one after my original one failed with 2 months of the 3 year warranty left. Anyway to cut a long story short I have ordered a new computer from Computer Lounge already assembled. Have ordered and payed for this one www.computerlounge.co.nz but with my new graphics card in which I have sent up to them to put in. It is also having a Corsair TXM650 watt psu put in it not the one listed. I'm still using my old computer but running on its onboard graphics a Geforce 7100. :) |
