| 1240840 | 2011-10-31 00:37:00 | I wouldn’t waste too much time considering the Referendum either as it’s Non-Binding and some of us remember the Anti-Smacking Referendum where 87.6% of the voters voted for the legislation to be repealed but Key & Co took not a blind bit of notice. :rolleyes: Why anyone thinks that this Referendum will change anything that the Politicians don’t approve of eludes me. So to summarise, it is a pointless waste of time having Non-Binding Referendums. If the Politicians had any intention at all of listening to the People, all Referendums would be binding. ;) |

It will be used by around 5% of Auckland rate payers if it is build and is just Len Brown trying to build a monument to himself at our expense. I shall not vote for any party that supports it. |

It will massively increase the capacity of Britomart and enable rail to the airport, rail to the North Shore and remove far more cars from the road than National will admit. is just Len Brown trying to build a monument to himself at our expense. MMP is failing all NZers except the minor parties that shouldn't even exist like Hone's Mana party, just as FFP failed. Only 2 countries that I know of use MMP the other being Germany it if they can't make it work nobody can |
