I am considering up-grading to a new desktop, and find a certain attraction to the all in one units, consdering the unclutered workspace this would provide me with. My question is, given the relativley short time they have been on the market, are there any issues regarding them that anyone would care to comment on? Any advice would be welcome. Rny.	rny (6943)

1265382	2012-03-15 23:30:00	All in ones have been around for 10++ years. They used to be alot bigger of course. :) You are basically buying the equivalent of a large laptop , that isnt portable. Nothing really new in the tech of all in ones. So dont expect the same reliability, ease of repair & low cost parts that a normal PC has. I wouldnt recommend one unless it came with a 3 year warranty. Id imagine repairs wont be cheap if it fails.	1101 (13337)
1265383	2012-03-16 06:38:00	Well from experience from two all in ones, I would st there is no worry about reliability. I can only comment about the apple variety, my current one is coming on to 5 years old. Only replaced the hard drive. The previous one too that would be close to 8 years ol and still going, but I will admit very slowly and painfully but still in original condition. So reliability is no more an issue then any other computer	plod (107)
