1264899 2012-03-14 08:25:00 had this phone for a while, when just today the touch screen has become all but unusable.

sometimes it doesnt respond when i press the on-screen button, or when it does there is a delay in inputting what i press.

taking out the battery , reinserting and turning it back on kinda works but then it just doesnt respond.

managed to reinstall the phone firmware but it doesnt want respond.:badpc::annoyed:

short of taking it back to telecom , is there anything else i can do??

oh, its well within the warrenty period, only had it a couple months if that

1264903 2012-03-14 09:33:00 I would take it back and replace it. It looks like the unresponsive touchscreen is a known issue (www.mobilechoiceuk.com).

To achieve an appealing price point of course, manufacturers have to cut some corners. However, with the C5-03, Nokia has failed to achieve a key aspect of low-end phones; ease of use. This is largely down to the fiddly Symbian Series 60 OS (why didn’t they go with Symbian ˆ3?), but it’s not helped by an unresponsive touch-screen

And here (discussions.europe.nokia.com)

1264908 2012-03-15 09:12:00 I just noticed "nokia" and "unresponsive" in the same sentence and the sentence was along the lines of "nokia isnt unresponsive..."

WHAT IS THIS?
