| 5522 | 2000-07-19 23:48:00 | Have recently bought a new computer with Works Suite 2000 and Lotus Smart Suite.When I try to exit from Word my Help Assistant pops up with - 'This file is in use by another application or user C:\windows\...\templates\normal.dot' I press o.k. and a 'Save As' box comes up with the Word icon and Template.If I press o.k. Save box disappears and the assistant message is 'Changes have been made that affect the global template, do you want to save the changes' If I press 'save' the message is This file is read only C:\windows etc. If I press cancel the box disappears.I go to exit again and that damn cat comes again with 'changes have etc' When I press 'No' the dreaded message comes up 'This programme has performed an illegal operation etc. Can anyone help me with this problem please My computer is Pentium 111 600 17gig hard drive 128 meg ram |
