| 5561 | 2000-07-25 11:10:00 | different apps crash randomly e.g. explorer, word 97, IE, sometimes they just hang and I have to reboot. I recently built the PC. I already had a case, Jetway Motherboard and power supply. So I added a P3 550E CPU , a Socket 370 cpu card adapter, a 32 MB RIVA TNT 2 64 AGP video card, 128MB PC 100 SDRAM, IBM 13GB hard disk. The floppy drive, CD-ROM drive, SB16 sound card and modem came from my old p133 machine. The motherboard is supposed to support a p3 but I'm wondering if I should upgrade the BIOS? Can I do this without re-installing windows? Is this likely to be my problem? Thanks |
