My HP400 ran out of black ink a week ago and I remember telling Win98 SE to use the colour cartridge instead. I have REFILLED my black cartridge since (using calidad solo 916-bk2). Now the printer's indicator always prompts me to use the colour cartridge even if I'm printing in black. It does this in all apps. Cable checks out ok - DIR > LPT1 in DOS went fine. Black cart looks ok too from dos edit print and h/w test print (depress p/eject button on printer powerup).
Is there a setting somewhere that I can revert back? |
