I have a 386 laptop whose cmos battery has died, which apparently can not be replaced. Is there a way to get the harddrive to boot (bios resets to std 20M drive, 400M installed), with some workaround?
ALternatively i have spent an embarrassing amount of time trying to find a good DOS editor/word processor that i can run from a floppy. What i want is basically a edit.com with word wrap (small, with windows shortcuts, indents, windows style menu). Is there such a beast? |
