| 5787 | 2000-08-08 01:46:00 | I have a curly one! I have 3 Hard Drives installed in my computer. 1. A new 20.4GB (UDMA66) as primary master 2. An old 1.3GB drive as primary slave (used as backup drive) 1 & 2 connected by UDMA66 cable 3. A 4.5GB drive as secondary master. Additionally my CD-Rom drive has the secondary slave position. 3 & 4 connected by traditional cable Now, my problem is this. Every 2nd boot, and only every second boot, BIOS does not find the 1.3GB drive. I assume it is something to do with the UDMA66, but would like to know why the problem occurs only every 2nd boot. I could probably get around the problem by doing a manual BIOS setup of the drives, but would still like to know the source of the problem. |
