| 5892 | 2000-08-17 02:09:00 | I have got Chello's new cable modem installed but download speeds are very slow depending on the site. But even the fastest download is about 1/4 of what it should be. Some are slower than on my clear dial-up. The Saturn tech has been and tested the connection on his laptop and speeds there are fine so I have a problem with either the LAN card they put in or my PC. Once the Saturn tech discovered this he said thanks and left. So I am left with a $90/month <56k modem I called up my compter seller and he told me to swap the LAN card away from the Video card. But still no joy. Any other Ideas? (Win98, PIII 450, 128Mb RAM, Nortan AV, Zone Alarm) |
