I recently installed a motorola sm56 modem, and I am having trouble with it disconnecting. Sometimes it will go for a long time, and other times it will disconnect after a few minutes. It happens more with i4free than with paradise. I did a printout from windows and it said Hardware hangup by lowering DTR. Warning, The modem did not respond to lowering DTR. Trying software hangup. Can someone explain to me what DTR is and what i can do to fix the problem. This didn`t happen when i was using an external modem. I am using ie4 and windows 98 se. |
