I am running Windows 2000 and win98 with a P3 667 on an intel 815 board with 128 meg of 133 Mhz ram and an ata66 20 gig western digital hard drive also an HP 9100 cd writer, here in lies the problem. When I try to burn a cd useing Nero 5 it gets between 4% and 10% into the testing mode then says there is a IDE fault at the same time the red buffer light comes on, and the program freezes. I have increased the buffer size to the maximum recomended by nero but this did not help. My PC dual boots with Win98 where I use the software supplied by HP with no problem, but this will not run on win2k, so I tried nero.I have been told this may be a conflict between ata66 and the nero drivers. Nero runs fine on win98.Sorry if this is all a bit mixed up but I am trying to give as much info as possible.I have been trying to sort this out for about 2 week and have been on the nero,HP and microsoft sites looking for help.Any ideas any one
