For some unknown reason, my display insists on setting itself to 16 colours, and 640 x 840. When I follow the prompts to reset it, and start the computer up, I get a message that says that there is an error with the display adapter. I have a Compaq Presario 7800, and the adapter is a Diamond Stealth III 16 mb S540 Graphics Card. I have run a scan disk, virus scan, and used Compaq's Custom Restore and Typical Restore to no avail. I have soft rebooted, and hard rebooted. I have uninstalled HPs Scanjet 5300c. Nothing. |
